I dunno, I basically sum it up in the FAQ on my weblog but mostly I'm just apathetic to the whole notion.

Fluffy: No gender, or ambiguous gender? Jungian thinking is very much in tune with intersex, since "masculine" and "feminine" are archetypes that exist in all people. The relative proportions tend to be sex-linked (for biological reasons) but intrinsically they are attributes like introvert/extrovert or thinking/feeling that you can mix and match.

Fluxbox: How about Social Text? That's the journal that infamously published the intentionally-absurd spoof article on postmodern physics. Sounds like their standards for bullshit are pretty low!

Also, speaking of EuroPoMo thinkers, there's the essay by Umberto Eco where he equated Macs with Catholicism and PCs with Protestantism. But I think he was looking at the hardware more than the OS.

I tend not to ascribe genders to things, but on the other hand I also don't ascribe a gender to myself, so that probably already puts me outside of the realm of what could be considered "normal" in this case.

Work Lacan into this, and you could get published in any cultural studies journal you can name. (Note that I personally can't name any, but I know they're out there.)
